Lani Stait is an actress based in Los Angeles. She is focused on film acting with a love for off-beat indie projects. Incredibly organized and driven, she is ready to make her mark!

Lani with partner Emma Terrazas co-created a 6-episode webseries called “Lana and Emmy”. It is a fun slice-of-life comedy about two unlikely roommates available to watch on YouTube. They continued the story by crowdfunding and shooting a short film in Las Vegas with the same name. In this heartfelt buddy comedy, Lana and Emmy have one last weekend in Vegas before they part ways. Recently “Lana and Emmy” the film has been selected and screened at Chicago International Indie Film Festival (2023), and Nevada Women’s Film Festival (2024).

 

Lani’s other recent highlights include the leading role of Louise in the short film “A.R.T.” directed by Esmarelda Villalobos which was selected and screened at Culver City Film Festival (2023), and Inland Empire Film Festival (2024). Also, a supporting role in “Visiting Friends” directed by Glenn Garrabrant which was selected and screened at Chicago International Indie Film Festival (2022), London Rocks (2022), Fisheye Film Festival (2023), South Texas International Indie Film Festival (2023), Culver City Film Festival (2023) and available to watch on Tubi.

 

Lani grew up in the D.C. area and spent many wonderful years in the great city of Chicago. Her background and collegiate training are in classical music. She has worked professionally as an soloist, opera singer, and voice and piano teacher.
